Future Imperfect

Lumps of flesh and streaming, airborne spouts of blood flew everywhere in the whirlwind. They made it hard to see and breathe. His arms were weakening as he struck to the bone of yet another assailant, materializing from the gory mists. There was a whistle from the leader of the circling assassins and through the gaps in their ranks leapt yelping black megrons, iron jawed and slavering from the glistening rows of implanted steel teeth and exposed red gums.
